The UK has updated the list of approved TB test clinics for visa applicants in Bolivia, removing three clinics in La Paz and Santa Cruz as of 21 September 2026. Applicants who need a TB certificate for a UK visa of 6 months or more must use the remaining approved clinics.

The UK has updated the list of approved clinics where visa applicants in Bolivia can get a tuberculosis (TB) test. According to the update, three clinics have been removed: Dra. Maria de los Angeles Teran in La Paz, and Dr. Oscar Morales and Dr. Jose Marcial Macias Abasto in Santa Cruz.

The change was recorded on 21 September 2026. Anyone applying for a UK visa who needs a TB certificate will now have to use one of the remaining approved clinics.

What this means for travelers

  • If you were planning to book a TB test at any of the three removed clinics, you will need to choose a different approved clinic instead.
  • The requirement itself has not changed: you still need a TB test if you are coming to the UK for 6 months or more and have lived in Bolivia for 6 months or more, or were living there within the last 6 months.
  • The test also applies if you are applying as a fiancé, fiancée or proposed civil partner on a family visa, or as a returning resident who has been away for more than 2 years.
  • Check the current list of approved clinics before booking so your certificate is accepted with your application.
